When he held it over the sea, the water divided
Day and night separated the Egyptian army from the Israelites
Because day and night is instructed by God
God allowed the Egyptian army
To follow the Israelites into the red sea, so he could avenge his people
When the last Israelite had crossed,  and the last Egyptian had entered the sea
God returned the sea back to its full depth, and the whole army drowned!
