Sheryl Gambo, Five times Tam-tam d'or of Congolese music (equivalent to the Victoires de la musique in France), Finalist of the RFI Discovery Award (2008 Edition), in 2019 was also awarded the Creativity Award and Public Award from Beyond Music, Foundation co-founded by Tina Turner, with the single WATER co-written with the American lyricist Kate Northrop and composed by Eduard Glumov.
She signed two singles (Water and More of us), in the album Same Sky, under the direction of the American Larry Klein, 7 times Grammy Award.
She evolves in an eclectic musical universe mixing different styles (jazz, soul, RnB, Hip-hop, Afrobeat, Congolese music) that she sublimates with her rare and powerful voice in different languages (French, English, Lingala ...) but with an emphasis on mbochi (language spoken in northern Congo), with which she made the bet to sing in international standards.
