Ochichi.The.Artist, is a Kenyan-born, African-American rapper, lyricist and producer for D/FW Metroplex . He went to school in Kenya and finally finished his High School diploma in Dallas TX. Originally from Karachuonyo, Kenya. His life so far is a shining example of the American dream of coming to a land where there are opportunities for those who are willing to work hard. Owner of Chieng'-Way Music, his work has created jobs for dancers, photographers, managers, sound engineers, and others. His performances have helped bring crowds to American businesses that are live music venues. His philosophy is one shared by many from Africa, as well as many religions found in America and worldwide, and this philosophy is “I am my brother’s keeper.” Always concerned for others first, when he started out doing gigs for free simply for the exposure, he made sure dancers and photographers were paid out of his pocket. He is a consummate professional. His songs are hard to categorize into a musical genre. One song may fall into one of many styles, while another may be a mixture of styles from rap, hip-hop, urban contemporary, top 40/pop, reggae/island, and African.
