Muisyo 'Msafiri' Alexander is a Kenyan musician and DJ based in Nairobi. He is also a founder of the Kenyan art and music collective called TEAMSAFIRI. Alex chose his stage name "Msafiri" after seeing his name in the high-school newsletter and thought it looked way too boring for a 'rapper'. His music inspirations are the likes of Blinky Bill, Wangechi, Juliani, Kitu-sewer and Nazizi. Hobbies include deejaying and Travelling. He is a graduate of the famed Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture, Science and Technology.
